Description

The land is ideal for planting as a new forest. It lies within an area on the fringe of the CSGN area and will benefit from enhanced levels of government grant for new planting. The surrounding crops indicate that a yield class of up to 24 may be possible for a crop of spruce on the site.

The current owner, Highfield Forestry Ltd, is in the process of applying for planting approval. The approval is anticipated by January 2018 and it is the intention to plant the property in spring 2018. A copy of the planting application plan is attached to these details. If planted in this way then it is anticipated that sufficient grant will be generated to cover the cost of planting.
